QuickBooks Hosting
When you go to the Ace Cloud website you’ll see that they offer QuickBooks Hosting and Cyber Security.
I’m only looking at the QuickBooks Hosting options.
If you click Pricing in the menu then QuickBooks/Apps Hosting you can see their options.
Plans Offered
They offer three different plans Essentials, Business, and Enterprise. The screenshot below shows the monthly pricing as of February 2024. You can also see what each plan offers.
You’ll notice the pricing crossed out showing a discount. I could not find any information on how long that discount lasts.
Remote hosting prices have come down since I started using it about 10 years ago. I used to pay $60-70 a month. $50-60 is pretty good considering how most things have gone up in price by 25-30% in 10 years.
If you click View More Features you can see additional features for each plan.
Personally, I would get the Business plan because of the Copy & Paste File Transfer listed under More Features.
I like to have control of my backups. If I make a backup of the remote file I want to be able to transfer/copy it to MY computer. You might be able to upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive and copy it over. But I’d pay a few extra bucks to know for sure.
What Versions Do You Host?
Further down the page is a Frequently Asked Questions section.
The most important question to me is about the versions they host.
They host all versions including US, Australian, and Canadian versions.
Using Ace Cloud Hosting
I was given a demo account to test. This is what the home screen looks like when I log in:
There are a bunch of QBDT icons on the left including different years for Pro and Premier. No Enterprise (that could be because it’s a demo).
There’s a Google Chrome icon. I want to know if I can connect to my Google Drive from here if needed. When I try I get a message that “Your Internet access is blocked.”
QBDT Premier 2023
I use an old backup desktop computer to log into QBDT. It’s slow.
I opened QBDT Premier 2023 in Ace Cloud, started a sample file, and closed it. When I reopen the file everything comes up pretty quick. I clicked around and again it was quick and responsive.
If you’d like to see this in action scroll down to watch the video version.
Overall this looks like a great option for someone needing to remote host QuickBooks Desktop.
