In the past, I’ve shown you how to record payment processor fees using Stripe as an example: How to Record Payment Processor Fees in QuickBooks Online
That blog post shows you how to find the fee for an individual transaction. Then split that transaction in QBO so you can record the fee.
I recently had someone ask about recording an entire month’s worth of Stripe fees at one time.
Let me show you how using my Stripe account.

Download Stripe Fees
You want to start by logging into the appropriate Stripe account. Whether that’s your account or you’re a bookkeeper and it’s a client’s account.
In the left side menu click Balances.
On the Balances screen click the 3rd tab, Payouts.
This will show you a list of your payouts. Click Export on the right.
In the Export payouts pop-up select the Date range. To get a month’s worth of data you can select Last month, or Custom and select dates for a past month.
In the Columns drop-down you can select the exact columns you want. I select All columns to make sure I have what I need.
Finally, click the Export button.
Exported Payouts – Payment Fees
I get my payouts weekly so my monthly report has four rows. One for each payout.
You’ll find the fees in the Payment Fees column. I have the information blocked out but if you total the numbers in this column you’ll have your total fees for a month.
To record this in QuickBooks debit the account you use to record Stripe Fees and credit your income account.
